Come to think of it, many moons have passed since I first starting blogging.
What can I say? It has been a wonderful journey writing down my thoughts about all sorts of things regardless of whether they were related to money.
Sometimes, I write reviews about products and services that I’m personally using.
Often, I touch on boring things such as the latest Singapore Savings Bonds tranches.
Most days, these topics often revolve around the topic of personal finance.
Even though I don’t feel that I’m a good writer, I find bits of joy and meaning in sharing my journey, however mediocre it may, because personal finance IS personal.
Sometimes, folks do relate to my situation and I’m always glad to be able to chat with you.
Earlier this year, I was doing my regular checks on Google Analytics and I’m delighted to see that the total page views for Turtle Investor have surpassed the 2 million milestone.
If my words on this blog have managed to be of any value to you, then let it be known that I’m very glad to be of some help to you – and thank you for reading!
I stopped when the pandemic happened – it didn’t seem appropriate to be mailing out stuff to people – and switched to giving out StocksCafe subscriptions.
Now that our lives are beginning to resemble the normality of the past, the giveaway has resumed with the Christmas Trezor One giveaway.
To make this year’s giveaway a little sweeter, I figured out a way to align the giveaway with what my blog can do – that is by providing free tools that can potentially help anyone who needs them.
All of these files are hosted on Gumroad, a platform that I use for my other side projects. Simply add the files that you want into your shopping cart and download them for free!
A quick note – Notion is basically a note-taking software platform designed for managing information for greater efficiency and productivity.
Knowledge and data management is where it truly shines but you don’t have to worry about that – the beauty of Notion is that it is as simple or complex as you want it to be. Anyone can get started in a matter of minutes!
I have used Notion on and off for a year or two, but it was when I finally dug deeper that I realized it was the one tool that worked well for my needs and it could replace my haphazard system of Google Docs and Sheets, Google Drive, Dropbox, Todoist and Evernote.
My Notion templates are extremely easy to understand, comes with tutorials and are meant to illustrate what you can quickly build yourself.
A common question that I get is why use Notion when I can do the same thing on Google Sheets? My answer is that I can code in Notepad but that doesn’t mean that’s the best way to do it 😉
So that’s my grand idea for this year. Instead of a giveaway that benefits only one person, consider this alternative an unlimited giveaway that runs forever.
Meanwhile, I’m having fun building on Notion and might drop cooler stuff in future.
Feel free to drop me a message or comment if you’re interested in becoming the first ones to try out what I build!

Kevin started Turtle Investor when his net worth languished at negative $25,755. His desire to turn things around led him to build passive income from investments and side hustles that pay for his daily expenses and vacations. You can learn more about Kevin here.
